Michaël Hunt:
Michael Hunt graduated in Law from University Catholique de Louvain in 2003. After this first degree he then went on to study a Magister juris degree in European and comparative Law at Oxford university. Being a keen learner, he finally completed his studies at the London school of Economics where he obtained an Msc in international relations.
Currently, he is a research assistant at Université Catholique de Louvain at the Institute of European Studies in the field of Energy law. Within this structure he his a member ot the GEDAIE which mainly concentrates on european aministrative and integration law. By the end of this year, Mr Hunt hopes to engage in the completion of a Phd thesis. His main subjects of interests are the evolution of the regulatory framework of European energy law as well as competition in the electricity and gas markets.
Kim Talus:
Kim Talus is a doctoral researcher of EC Law at the University of Helsinki where his current research concentrates on long-term agreements and their changing role in the EC energy markets. These agreements are approached from
EC competition law and security of supply perspective. The focus is
primarily on vertical agreements in up-stream electricity and gas markets
(production and transmission).
Working history: Finnish ministry for foreign affaires - cases relating to unbundling, concession agreements, bio-energy etc. (2005 - 2006), Procopé & Hornborg Attorneys at Law - cases relating to PPA's, interconnectors, competition law etc. (2004 - 2005), Wärtsilä Corporation - cases relating to
sales agreements concerning power plants, EC competition law etc. (2002 - 2003)
Henrik Bjornebye:
Henrik Bjørnebye is a doctoral researcher at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law, University of Oslo, where he is writing a PhD on EU internal electricity market investment regulation in the security of supply interest. He also teaches EEA Law and supervises master students in their thesis work within the fields of energy law, EEA law and EU law. He is a member of the Center for Research on Markets, Innovation and Technology (CeRMIT) and an associated member of the Natural Resources Group at the University of Oslo.
Mr. Bjørnebye has previously worked as a research assistant at the Centre for European Law, University of Oslo (1999-2000) and as an associate in the Oil and Energy Group of Norwegian law firm Arntzen de Besche (2001-2004), which included a period as guest associate at Baker & McKenzie’s European Law Centre in Brussels (2002). As an associate in Arntzen de Besche he mainly worked with EEA law and petroleum related issues, with particular responsibility for gas transportation issues on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
